AmePower at InnoTrans 2026: Next-Generation Rail Propulsion and Fleet Modernization

AmePower is heading to InnoTrans 2026 in Berlin, bringing next-generation rail power electronics and proven fleet modernization solutions to Hall 9, Booth 430.
From September 22–25, our team will be meeting with rail operators, transit authorities, rolling-stock manufacturers, and industry partners to discuss a challenge facing fleets around the world: how to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency while extending the useful life of existing rail vehicles.
At our booth, visitors will be able to see AmePower equipment firsthand, including our patented UltraSine™ propulsion inverter, Auxiliary Power Supply (APS), and Low Voltage Power Supply (LVPS) solutions.

At the center of our InnoTrans exhibit will be the AmePower UltraSine™ next-generation propulsion inverter.

Designed for modern rail propulsion and rolling-stock modernization applications, UltraSine™ delivers ½ MW of output power with efficiency of up to 98.5%, while being approximately 5 times smaller and 7 times lighter than a traditional converter of the same power rating. Its modular architecture allows UltraSine™ converters to be stacked to provide up to 3 MW per rack, supporting a wide range of rail platforms operating at 600 V, 750 V, 1500 V, and 3000 V.
For transit agencies and rail operators, that combination of high power density, efficiency, and scalability creates new possibilities for both new propulsion systems and the modernization of existing fleets.
Rather than designing an entirely new vehicle around a propulsion system, AmePower focuses on engineering solutions that can be integrated into existing rail platforms — helping operators improve performance while preserving valuable rolling-stock assets.
APS and LVPS Solutions for Rail Vehicles
UltraSine™ will be joined on the stand by AmePower's Auxiliary Power Supply (APS) and Low Voltage Power Supply (LVPS) solutions. These systems perform some of the most essential functions onboard a rail vehicle, supplying power for loads such as HVAC, lighting, control systems, battery charging, and other auxiliary equipment.
As rail vehicles remain in service for decades, the original power electronics supporting these systems can become increasingly difficult and expensive to maintain. Components become obsolete, replacement parts disappear from the market, and aging designs can create reliability and maintenance challenges.
AmePower works with customers to address these problems through rail power supply modernization and replacement solutions engineered around the existing platform.
At InnoTrans, our engineers will be available to discuss how an APS, LVPS, or propulsion system can be adapted to existing electrical, mechanical, and operational requirements — including applications where the original equipment is no longer supported.

Extending Rail Fleet Life by 10 to 20 Years
Many rail fleets operating today contain vehicles and electronic systems that are already 15 or 20 years beyond their original design cycle.

Replacing an entire fleet simply because critical propulsion or auxiliary power electronics have become obsolete is not always economically practical. That is where modernization can make a significant difference. Through propulsion inverter, APS, LVPS, and other rail electronics modernization programs, AmePower helps operators address obsolescence while potentially extending the useful service life of existing vehicles by another 10 to 20 years — at a fraction of the cost of procuring entirely new rolling stock.
